Hello!

I try to find the answer on my question about the defining field order on
Sony Vegas Pro just before rendering.
I have to choose of one of the field orders: upper or bottom field order.

I want to play the rendered video on WD Player and on Panasonic DMP-BD55 blu
ray player.

Can you tell me which field order I should set before rendering the video on
Sony Vegas Pro 9?

I`ve read that this field order is related to the hardware I am trying to
play the video.

Please help me, because I cannot find any answer in internet.

Thank you in advance

You could do it twice, once each way. The answer would then be clear.

I don't know the answer in your case, but that's what I did when faced with
that question.

To save rendering time, create a short clip to experiment on.

I can't disagree with Gene's answer, but I can tell you that if you're
creating high definition content (such as 1080i material), that it
ought to be upper (top) field first, as all high def interlaced
content is supposed to be upper field first, although that doesn't
guarantee that all hardware/software out there necessarily gets it
right.

Good. Thanks for adding that info.

I was unaware of it - no big surprise there ;-)

So far as I know, only Mini-DV uses lower field first, but then, what
do I know...;-)
